Old Fashioned Country Auction for an Old Fashioned Country Girl

Stevens Auction Company has been commissioned to offer at absolute, public auction the magnificent and prodigious estate antique collection of our dear friend and colleague, the late Ms. Earlean S. Bowen, of Eupora, Mississippi. Ms. Bowen, affectionately known in the industry as “The Antiques Lady” has left an indelible mark upon the lives of those with whom she shared her wares, her stories, and her love.

Her massive inventory consists of ten buildings in Eupora filled with over a thousand pieces of furniture and other antiquities. Ms. Bowen had a keen eye for wonderful pieces, and her love of antiques spanned many eras of furniture, including Southern primitives as well as Federal, Victorian, Empire, and Eastlake antiques. Ms. Bowen’s catalog of antiques also includes beautiful porcelains, fine china, antique lamps, original works of art, as well as hundreds and hundreds of rare and collectible items that were of such caliber and quality to make it into Ms. Bowen’s inventory.

The open house preview will be on Friday, April 5th, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as well as April 11th.
