Stevens Auction Company is pleased to announce the commission to sell at public auction the beautiful antique collection of Mr. David Lovell of Brookhaven, Mississippi. Mr. Lovell has called “Edgewood” his home for the past 54 years, and he has collected many extraordinary and rare treasures. The auction will take place on the grounds of this magnificent mansion—the argest home in Brookhaven—where we’ll be offering, among other things, antique furniture, porcelains, marble sculptures, palace-sized rugs, crystal chandeliers, original works of art, rare clocks, glassware, antique weapons and unusual collectables.

We will also be selling the original furnishings from another historic Brookhaven home, the Captain Jack C. Hardy House, built in 1877 at 205 Natchez Avenue. This home, the oldest brick residence in Brookhaven, is a rare surviving example of an Italianate town villa without a tower. It is for sale by its owner, Mr. Roy Segers. For more information on the sale of the Hardy House, please call our office (662-369-2200). Additionally, select items will be sold from a prominent Germantown, Tennessee Estate, adding the final touch to what is sure to be a spectacular auction. Bidders will certainly not want to miss out.

The open house preview will be Friday, November 5, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again, beginning at 7:00 a.m. on auction day.
