Polly Cavender was born and raised in the Quincy community. She graduated from Becker High School in 1949. She attended Draughon's Business College in Birmingham, Alabama. There she met the love of her life Tony Cavender whom she married in 1954. The antique collection we will showcase at her home features items she purchased and selected over 50 years. Polly worked as a secretary for U.S. Steel until her retirement. Never forgetting her Mississippi roots, she and Tony purchased their beautiful estate and moved from Birmingham to Amory in 2001. One of their favorite past times was antique hunting together. Tony passed away in December 2015 after a long illness.
